Are you kidding me? I’m a Nebraskan, by birth and degree. I just retired from UGA after 22 years as a faculty member. I also have a PhD from Ohio State. Kirby is the real deal - he’s who we all thought Scott was going to be. Kirby will never slide into mediocrity. He’s an alum.
I’ve been following you from the beginning - you are funny, insightful, smart and a great writer. I share Mo Faux with lots of people - everyone agrees you’re great.
This weekend sucks. I hate Michigan. I hate Alabama. I hate that FSU isn’t in. I hate that Georgia lost but I can deal with that - I’m a Nebraskan. I remember where I was sitting in the stadium when Mizzou beat us in ‘78 and we had to play Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl. It was a long drive back to Omaha in that 15 passenger van. All this to say - I can deal with Georgia being out although it feels very unfair. I count on you to be one of the good guys, a voice of reason. Stay away from Kirby - he’s Tom Osborne level good with a goofy haircut and a propensity to say, “How ‘bout them fuckin’ Dawgs?!?” When he’s excited.
