There are plenty of facts that need to be unraveled, but I am confident that if this were Purdue, it wouldn't even be a concern.

That may be - although if Purdue were undefeated and the betting favorite to win the national title, a lot of people would care about this story.

Fair, my final point is strictly Jim Harbaugh. He is one of the more abrasive coaches in the country and with that causes even more friction. With the recruiting violations and now this, not looking good.

Yep. He’s got one of those faces that’s easy to root against. Lane Kiffin used to be that way, though, and now he’s beloved, so maybe there’s still hope for Jim.

I don't even hear you, your face is driving me nuts! Sorry, stepbrothers got me off topic! Jim has one of those faces, and slacks. Michigan has the team to win it this year, but distractions are a thing. Wouldn't be the first time a favorite didn't win the chip.

I like Harbaugh, and I'm a Seahawks fan in Seattle. I remember what he did at Stanford. Their win over USC in 2007 is one of the greatest moments in sports, full stop. He made Stanford into a giant nerd-bully, a thing David Shaw drafted off of for a decade.

Making The Game competitive is also a gift to the fans. With Michigan so down for so long, the hype every year was getting to be like in the Soviet duma where we're all trying to catch each others' eye to see who will stop caring first so we can switch over to Iowa State - Kansas or whatever.

So... two cheers for Jim Harbaugh.

Thank you, Faux. To mitigate my Schadenfreude, I've applied these steps to scandals/controversies at my favored institutions, and it holds up nicely. You may be the Elisabeth Kubler-Ross of college athletics.

Yep, most (all?) of us go through these stages to some degree when it’s our turn. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with defending people and institutions you love, as long aa you’re intellectually honest about it (at least privately) and accept and acknowledge new facts as they come in. If you just defend defend defend you’ll never improve or learn from mistakes.

Connor Stalions is an incredible incognito name to be used when sending secret Venmo payments that amazingly ends up being real.

It really is and makes me wonder if this whole thing is a first draft of a bad spy movie

I can’t “like” this article, but I can say well done Faux. I don’t live in A2 so don’t know if eerie quiet is taking place during a bye weekend, but I’m staying silent and hopeful that this developing story will find a positive reconcilable ending that makes sense. If not, I’d hate to be the B1G commissioner if Michigan decides to build a foxhole. Sadly, the 2023 team is good enough to not need this “help”.

That’s all fair and true, and there are a lot of facts that remain to be revealed. I’m totally open to this being much ado about nothing but man, the early signals are not good. I do know that if this is real and bad it won’t be good for the conference or any of the teams in it so I’d be fine if it blew over.
